I have the pleasure and great opportunity to represent Amazon Web Services (AWS) with two Sessions at SUSECON 25 in Florida (Archive: [1], [2]) together with my SUSE co-speaker Kevin Ayres and Nicolas Lowman. In addition, two other proposals I've submitted were accepted for recording and will be published after the Event. Stephen Mogg and Graham Hares well be my co-speaker for them.

I'm looking forward to it, even though there is a lot of work ahead the next two months :O

We dive-deep on Rancher as GitOps and application platform with Fleet and Epinio on AWS. A brief overview of features and concepts will help you which one to choose based on different use-cases. We talk about the Architecture of Rancher with Fleet and Epinio on Amazon EKS. And going to spend the rest of the session with Demos of Fleet and Epinio for cluster management and application deployment on AWS. Since July the SUSECON 23 session recordings were available on-demand but required a registration. They now became public available on YouTube!

I talked about Rancher integration with AWS services, possibilities, challenges and outlook (PROD 1178) and SUSE ALP prototype on AWS, Experimental, but fun (TUT 1179).

The sessions from my peers at AWS I want to highlight are SUSE Maintenance Operations on AWS Demystified (TUT 1137) and How SUSE and AWS partner to drive customer success (TBO 1042).

I'm looking forward to next years SUSECON and hope I have the opportunity to speak again about SUSE on AWS.

[PROD-1178] Rancher integration with AWS services: possibilities, challenges & outlook

Rancher can deploy and manage your Kubernetes clusters on AWS EKS and EC2, but what about things like authentication, logging, monitoring or backup? I will give an overview of AWS services for these four pillars and talk about what's already possible, which challenges some integrations might have and an outlook on what is planned. Learn more about how the integrations are working under the hood and which technologies are involved.

First time Speaker @ SUSECON Digital 2022 about SUSE Manager as a Service

In the Session SUSE Manager as a Service: Infrastructure & Patch Management made easy [POV-1236] (Archive: [1]) on Thursday, Jun 9, from 2:00 PM - 2:30 PM CEST, I will talk about my vision to provide Managed Services based on SUSE Manager. It will be my first time as Speaker, but hopefully not the last time ;)

It's still time to register for free, there are a lot of other interesting sessions to watch during the SUSECON Digital 2022..

My Employer NTT Germany is going to launch a managed service offering, details about the various options will also be part of that Session.

The Interest and Support from SUSE and NTT Germany is amazing, I'm thrilled about this opportunity and looking forward to build and operate the solution together with my Team.

I already wrote a few times about SUSE Manager and the Upstream Open Source Project Uyuni, my contributions, development and troubleshooting.

It's not a secret that I really enjoy hacking Uyuni in my free time, the fact that this is something I can also do as part of my Job now is just great :)

You may wonder why all Contributions are related to Uyuni? Due to the strict Upstream first (Archive: [1], [2]) Policy from SUSE, which is a really good thing, fixes and new features always go from Uyuni to SUSE Manager.
